THE SINGING BREATH(PART 1)

BREATHING  When you breathe normally everything is done automatically, the inhalations and the exhalation are performed without thought. On the other hand when you sing you not only need to breathe quickly but you have to exhale slowly as you sing phrases of a song, but you also need to maintain a steady sustenance. Inhalation, in singing  is simply taking in air purposefully into the lower regions of the lungs .Here some fun ways of feeling and eventually learning the proper way of breathing; For deep breathing; i) Stand up and slump over. ii) As you are slumped over feel the movement in your body as you breathe. iii) Release your neck so that your back can stay pliable for breathing. vi) Notice that when you take in air, you can feel the lower abs moving out, because they’re all flabby from being slumped over. Those of you who are really thin, you may not feel your abs move much in the beginning. That’s okay. You can still acquire great breathing habits for singing. v)

POSTURE FOR VOCAL STRUCTURE

Posture Posture is important to sing well. If all the parts for singing are lined up correctly, you stand a chance of getting wonderful sounds come out of your body. Knowing how to stand is not rocket science, but it may take a little adjustment on your part. If you aren’t used to standing tall all the time, you may feel a bit awkward at first. To sing efficiently, you need to line up all your body parts that are involved and get them ready to do their job with little tension as possible. If you are slumped over, you have more trouble taking the breath that you need to sing because posture and tension directly affect the muscles. One means of evaluating posture is simply standing in front of a full length mirror, noticing the way you hold your body parts especially the head, chest, hips, knees, arms and hands. A MICROPHONE ADVICE

Hello Singer! Please put a distance between the  microphone and your lips;some mics are infected, having being left without care!  Microphones attract Saliva, lipstick, mustache/beard hair, sweat, hand lotions, etc and when not cleansed, culture some very dangerous bacteria!!!!
