KEEP THE COTTON FROM FALLING

Image
KEEP THE COTTON UP! Without a steady stream of breath, you will have a pitchy tone. Your breath is everything as a singer! So one of the best technique I teach is through this exercise; pinch a piece of cotton wool and throw it in the air above you. Then with a firm support from your core, blow air from pouted lips to keep the cotton from floating downward, keep the cotton afloat for at least 15-20 seconds. Remember to take in breath quickly to refill as the lungs tends to collapse after each stream of air flows out. Use the same action of keeping the cotton high up while singing, you will register a great difference.
